The OGA held its Annual Meeting, October 25th. In attendance: OGA CEO, OGA Executive Committee, OGA staff and program chairs, representatives from PNGA , USGA, the Evans Scholar Foundation and over 100 OGA Directors from OGA member clubs (such as CWGA)(Sue Oberg attended as our Director)
Our OGA membership not only connects us to official USGA handicapping . tournament opportunities, and exclusive benefits but supports Junior golf development, rules seminars, course ratings, the operation of the OGA course in Woodburn as well as hosts regional events and PGA qualifying opportunities.
In Oregon and southwest Washington, 76% of OGA courses are public courses and 24% courses private courses. During 2025, OGA had over 480 member clubs (clubs, i.e. CWGA) which included 52,000 adult OGA members and 5,000 junior golf members. These members played over 1.1 million rounds of golf during the 2025 season.
At the annual meeting, reports were given by OGA’s CEO, President, as well as the PNGA, USGA, Evans Scholars Foundation and an Oregon Golf Economic Impact Study Group.
The Oregon Golf Economic Impact Study found:
“Oregon’s golf economy is supported by 172 golf facilities and nearly 2,950 holes that collectively serve over 390,00 golfers across the state, including nearby Vancouver Washington. Within this base of participants are 85,000 avid golfers who each play 25 or more rounds annually, forming a stable core of year-round demand. These golfers together with a vibrant visitor’s market, sustain a wide variety of facilities ranging from municipal courses and community related clubs to world renowned destinations. “
